Create Your Listing

Log in and click "Sell" from the main menu to access the listing form. You'll be asked to set your address if you haven't already.

Fill Out the Listing Form

Provide detailed information about your item to attract serious buyers:

• Title: Create a clear, descriptive title (e.g., "1921 Morgan Silver Dollar - MS63")
• Description: Include details about condition, provenance, notable features, and any flaws
• Coin Information:
  • Country of origin
  • Denomination (e.g., Quarter, Dollar, Half Dollar)
  • Coin (e.g., Lincoln Wheat Cent, Morgan Dollar)
  • Year
  • Mint mark (if applicable)
  • Grading information
• Photos: Upload clear, high-quality photos showing both sides of the coin and any notable details. Good photos significantly increase buyer confidence! Pro tip: Edit your listing from your phone and you can take photos that automatically get uploaded.
• Pricing: Set your asking price. Research similar items to price competitively.
• Quantity: Specify how many items you're selling
• Sale Type: Choose between:
  • Fixed Price: Standard buy-it-now listing. Optionally peg the price to the current metal melt value.
  • Auction: Let buyers bid
  • Trade: Offer your item for trade with other collectibles
• Shipping: Select your preferred shipping options. These must be acccurate as they will be charged to the buyer.
  • Package Dimensions: Provide the length, width, height, and weight of your package
  • Shipping Method: Choose your preferred carrier and service level

Set Up Payouts

Before you can receive payments, you need to configure your payout method. Navigate to "My Listings" and set up your payment information:

• Go to My Listings
• Click on "Set Up Payouts"
• Connect your bank account or set up your preferred payout method
• Complete identity verification if required (for seller protection and compliance)

Manage Your Listings

Once your listing is live, you can manage it from the "My Listings" page:

• Edit: Update details, photos, pricing, or shipping information
• Cancel/Re-list: Cancel or re-list if needed

When Your Item Sells

1. You'll receive a notification that a buyer has purchased your item
2. Visit "My Sales" to view order details and shipping information
3. Print the shipping label
4. Package your item securely. Use appropriate materials for coin protection
5. Ship within 1-3 business days
6. Tracking information will auto-update so you and the buyer can follow the package
7. Funds will be deposited to your account within a few business days

Fees and Pricing

Rare Change charges a simple, transparent fee structure:

• Listing Fee: 8% of the final sale price
• Minimum Fee: 50¢ per transaction
• No Hidden Charges: No other fees, no surprise charges

• Use natural lighting or a light box for best results
• Photograph both obverse (front) and reverse (back) clearly
• Include close-ups of mint marks, dates, and any notable features or flaws

What if a buyer wants to return an item?

We do not currently support returns. This may be added in the future. Be sure to provide accurate descriptions and photos to minimize disputes.

How do I handle trade offers?

If you've enabled trades, you and the buyer can each propose items to trade. You'll receive notifications and can review, counter, or accept offers from your listings dashboard.
