US Half Cents

The Half Cent was America's smallest denomination, minted from 1793 to 1857. These copper coins featured various Liberty designs including the Liberty Cap, Draped Bust, and Classic Head types. Half Cents are highly collectible due to their historical significance and the fact that they represent an era when even half a cent had real purchasing power. Many were melted down over the years, making surviving examples particularly valuable to collectors.
